I work by combining drawing and photography. I tend to begin my work with drawings because I think that drawing follows life as it is lived. I use pencil as a tool of trial, thought and recording. I have always appreciated how its trace carries human presence. Afterwards, if it feels needed, I photograph my drawings. For me camera’s role is to refine ideas: make them solid and bring them to light.
